For KT’s 770, Video, and Data 15GB contracts and LG’s 396 (International), Data 15GB, and 5GB daily contracts, the monthly price is the same as the prepaid plan. If you only need it for a short time or want to start without a contract, a prepaid plan is the better fit.
Check before you sign up
- You can only choose this at your first activation (new sign-up or number porting). You cannot switch your current prepaid plan to a contract.
- The LTE 299 contract is 29,900 KRW per month with calls and texts included, and 10.3GB of data + 3Mbps. You cannot change plans, transfer ownership, or pause service during the contract period.
- The full amount for the contract period is topped up at once at the start. Please check the total on the card first.
- If you cancel before the contract period ends, you must return the discounts and support you received.
- You cannot switch to another plan during the contract period.
- You cannot transfer ownership or use international roaming during the contract.
- Calls, texts, and data used beyond the included allowance are charged separately.
- If you activate with the Membership app, you will get confirmation calls before and after activation. Please be sure to answer.
Steps to activate with the N-Telecom Membership app
Install the N-Telecom Membership app that matches your SIM, enter 2916980 in the “Tablet Owner Member Number (태블릿 소유자 회원번호)” field of the application form, and choose a contract plan. After you submit, let us know on KakaoTalk and we will check and activate it.

Install the K edition app for a KT SIM and the L edition app for an LG SIM.
Choose the activation type
Choose new sign-up or number porting, then select prepaid.
Online identity verification
Verify with one simple authentication certificate in your own name. Check its expiration date.
Enter the member number
Enter 2916980 in the “Tablet Owner Member Number (태블릿 소유자 회원번호)” field.
Choose a number
For a new sign-up, look up the last 4 digits and reserve one. It is hard to change once you choose.
Enter SIM details
For KT, enter the 19 digits starting with 8982. For LG, enter the model name (in capitals) and the 8-digit serial number.
Choose a contract plan
Pick a contract plan from the plan list. The screen is an example.
Name and signature
Write your name clearly in block letters and sign.
KakaoTalk approval request
Send “name / carrier you applied for” to Chickphone on KakaoTalk.
Top-up and activation
Top up the full amount for the contract period, then turn the phone off and on 2 to 3 times.
Application screen vs. Membership app: what is different?
Contract plans can only be chosen in the Membership app. Prepaid plans and eSIM are activated on the application screen.

Confirmation calls before and after activation
Before activation, we call the number used for identity verification to confirm that it is you, that you intend to sign up, and what you will use the line for. After activation, we call the activated number to confirm it is actually in use. Calls are recorded, and if your identity is not clear, we will direct you to in-person activation.
Notes
Using a prepaid contract plan does not enable micropayments. Also, in principle you cannot change to another plan during the contract period, so please choose carefully.

How do I sign up for a contract plan?
Choose it in the N-Telecom Membership app when you first activate with a new sign-up or number porting. Please follow the app activation steps.
Can I switch my current prepaid plan to a contract?
No. Contract plans can only be chosen at first activation.
Can I also get a contract with number porting?
Yes. However, a KT contract does not apply to a number currently on the KT network, and an LG contract does not apply to a number currently on the LG U+ network. When moving between networks within N-Telecom, you can sign up for a contract.
What happens when the contract period ends?
From 1 month before expiry, you can apply for a renewal on the first screen of the N-Telecom Membership app. If you do not apply, you switch to a prepaid plan without a contract.
Can I use international roaming with a contract plan?
No. Contract plans do not support roaming, for both KT and LG.
Can I make micropayments with a contract plan?
No. Contract plans are also prepaid, so micropayments are not available.
Which Membership app should I install?
For a KT SIM, install the N-Telecom Membership K app. For an LG SIM, install the N-Telecom Membership L app. Activation will not work with another carrier’s app.
Where do I enter the Tablet Owner Member Number (태블릿 소유자 회원번호)?
Enter 2916980 in the “Tablet Owner Member Number (태블릿 소유자 회원번호)” field in the middle of the app application form. Please enter all 7 digits exactly.
Can I activate an eSIM with the Membership app too?
No. A prepaid eSIM can only be activated on the application screen (web), and only with LG.
